Almost from the time people began to fly, pilots were bringing attention to their aircraft. Some of these highlighted the danger of flying, some, the acrobatics they could do while others created smoke, writing in the sky or merely trailing highly visible smoke.
Modern day pilots enjoy bringing the same attention to their planes, primarily with smoke trails.
To date there has been very little done to accomplish these effects with ultra lights, E-LSA and particularly with powered parachutes. While there are several of these kinds of aircraft that have smoke generators, they are usually uniquely built by individual owners of Buckeye, Powrachute, Six Chuter or other fine aircraft and rigid or semi rigid winged flying machines. Most fabricated smoke generators for powered parachutes, other ultra lights or E-LSA are designed to operate on the unit for which it was assembled alone.
Sky Smoke has developed an aircraft smoke generator kit that fits virtually any of these flying machines, without degrading engine performance. It is readily adapted to Rotax or Hirth engines as well as other engines powering small aircraft. Moreover, regardless of whether you are flying an APCO, Performance Design wing or fabric covered fixed wing aircraft, the kit is easily and effectively installed on all.
Currently, Sky Smoke kits have been installed and operating well on Powrachute Pegasus, PC 2000, Six Chuters, ultra lights and other types of E-LSA. Many ASC and USUA pilots have commented on how much they enjoy the effect of creating smoke trails while in the air and have recommended others install them on their machines. |
